This reader is able to read various (cards, chips, grain of rice) types of tags in the 125khz range. Use it for your next project to enable identification of (items, location, etc.) .

Works on single 5V Supply.
2400 baud TTL serial output.
0.100 Standard spacing. Use with any standard header or socket cable.
Compatible with any microcontroller you can program to read it (Pic, AVR, Arduino, Parallax Basic Stamp, Picaxe, MSP430, etc)
Reads 125 khz rfid tags. Extras can be purchased for less than a dollar each, either from http://www.parallax.com or others in different shapes and sizes (coins, key tags, cards)!
